Travel | English Weekend Breaks

Even though travelling abroad is exciting and fun, there are so many beautiful places to discover closer to home. Today I wanted to share my favourite places for a weekend, or long weekend away in England. Read on for my suggestions...

Whitstable is a seaside town located on the north coast of Kent. It's famous for it's oysters, independent shops and restaurants, and distinctive beaches.
What To Do
Visit The Lobster Shack for fresh oysters
Have a drink at The Neptune
Hire bikes and cycle into Canterbury

Brighton is a typical trip for the summertime, but it's full of great things to do all year round. Located on the south coast of England, it's easily accessible by train and the station is located close by to the center.
What To Do
Wander round the lanes with an ice-cream from Boho Gelato
Catch a show at the Theatre Royal
Eat fish and chips on the beach

Padstow is located in the north of Cornwall and is usually, depending on where you are in England, quite a long drive or train journey. Better suited to a long weekend away, there are plenty of outdoor things to do and spring is normally the best time for this as it gets crowded during the holidays.
What To Do
Hire bikes and cycle the Camel Trail
Order a cream tea
Get the boat across the estuary to discover the beaches on the other side

If you're looking for a trip out of London, consider visiting Windsor, as it's located along the River Thames, west of London. It's most famously known for it's castle, which is one of the residences of the British Royal Family.
What To Do
Take a guided trip along the river
Book a ticket to visit the castle
Have a walk in Windsor Great Park

Bakewell is a small town located in the Derbyshire Dales district of Derbyshire. It is famous for it's Bakewell Pudding and charming character. The town may be small but it's surrounded by beautiful countryside.
What To Do
Buy and eat the famous Bakewell pudding
Visit Chatsworth House
Do a guided walk of the dales

  11. This is very good news and very good idea to give a private version of stack overflow Q & A. Because there are many numbers of government and private organization who needs stack overflow Q & A. As a company employee I would to use private version. And also, I would recommend Stack overflow to work on Bangladesh. because of two reasons. the first is a large number of population. second is your work is perfect that Bangladesh needs you.
