Pasta | Pesto

I remember my Italian nonna and aunts making fresh pasta at the kitchen table when I was younger, and then absolutely delicious meals being served up soon after. I have yet to accomplish the skill of pasta making but I figured that pasta sauce was a good place to start! Today I wanted to share my pesto recipe, it's really simple to make and can be stored in a jar in the fridge for a couple of days afterwards too. Read on to check out the recipe...

You Will Need
One Large Bunch of Basil
3 Cloves of Garlic
100ml of Olive Oil
60g of Parmesan Cheese
50g of Pine or Cashew Nuts

To Make
1) Roughly chop the garlic and add it to a blender, along with the basil and cheese. If you are using cashew nuts, add those too.
2) Blend the ingredients together
3) Add the olive oil slowly to the mixture, until you reach your desired consistency
4) Add the pine nuts and serve with fresh, cooked pasta
