Review | Gaucho London

Last month, I hopped on the train after work and headed into central London for a dinner at Gaucho restaurant, by Tower Bridge.
Gaucho was founded back in 1976 and specialises in Argentinean steaks and fine wine and along with a number of restaurants in London, there are also sites in Dubai and Hong Kong.

I can't speak for the other locations, at this was my first visit to Gaucho, but the setting was perfect, with a view of City Hall and Tower Bridge turning to twinkling lights as the sun began to set.
The restaurant ambiance was good, with a mix of booths and tables across the ground floor, and more seating and a bar upstairs for visitors who wished for more of a view across the Thames.

What I Ate

Sun-Dried Tomato & Mozzarella Empanadas & Roasted Sweet Potato and Fig Salad

Chorizo Sirloin Steak with Bearnaise Sauce

Lemon Tart with Toasted Italian Meringue

Overall, I was really impressed with my visit to Gaucho and would definitely visit again. Steak isn't something that I eat a lot, but I could appreciate that it was good. The empanadas to start were absolutely delicious and the lemon tart was a perfect way to finish off the meal!

Have you visited Gaucho before?

  1. What a luxe dining experience, Rosanna! Everything you ordered looks amazing. Especially the lemon meringue - my weakness! xx
