Books | Bedside Reading

The weather outside may be cold, grey and rainy but the days are getting lighter and spring doesn't seem too far away now. Reading in the evenings is something that I look forward to doing when I have time and when I've got a busy few weeks on, it's good to have some non-fiction books to dip in and out of. Here are some of my favourite bedside books...

What Would Boudicca Do?
I received this book for Christmas and I really love the premise of it. The chapters are nice and short if you don't have a lot of time to read, really funny, have great messages and uplifting words. My favoruite one has been Elizabeth the 1st and Punchy Public Speaking.

Divorced, Beheaded, Died
Following on from Elizabeth the 1st, this book has been sitting on my bookshelf for years and is really great to just pick up at any time. Britain has had so many monarchs and with a brief synopsis of them all, this book is so useful to have close by!

How To Be A Woman
This is a truly fantastic book and although it seems at first to be lighthearted and funny, there are some really important and thought-provoking points that everybody will take away after reading it. Part memoir and part rant, it's full of questions that women want answered!

The Little Book of Hygge
This book was published a couple of years ago now but during wintertime, it's the most wonderful book to flick through as it's filled with warm and cosy pictures that encourage you to make the most of this season and enjoy it.

What do you like to read at this time of year?
