Christmas | What To Do In December

It's supposed to be the most wonderful and magical time of the year but why do we all get so stressed in the lead up to Christmas? Granted, it's a busy time and we all seem to fit more than we can into it but it's also important to embrace the spirit of the festive period and enjoy yourself. Here are some tips on what to do this month...

Festive Baking
Braving the supermarket is no mean feat at this time of year but cut the amount of time you're in there by making some sweet treats yourself. Gingerbread is fool-proof for any age and can be decorated however you want. Pop the finished result into come cellophane gift bags and tie with some red ribbon to give as gifts.

────────

Christmas Wrapping
Another activity which doesn't have to feel like a chore if you add some Christmas magic. Make an event out of it with some Christmas songs or carols in the background and have a glass of mulled wine or a mug of hot chocolate close to hand.

────────

A Winter Walk
Pop your wellington boots and coat on for a countryside walk in the daytime or wrap up even warmer for an evening walk in the best part of town to spot the best Christmas lights and house decorations around.

────────

Ice-Skating
Is it Christmas if you haven't been ice-skating? Look to see if anywhere near you is hosting a pop-up event this December. Many come with alpine or ice-bars attached so you can really make it into an event or evening out.

────────

Christmas Drinks
You can find mulled wine and cider making kits at many shops this time of year and the aroma will fill the house, making it smell amazing. Hot chocolate with all the trimmings also makes a a great non-alcoholic alternative or hot spiced apple juice too.

What's your favourite thing to do in December?
