Travel Miniatures | Where To Save Space

We all still want our home comforts when we go away and unless you are checking in a large suitcase, chances are that you will be restricted to the airline's liquids policy and will only be allowed a limited number of items in a clear plastic bag. I've put together a list of items to keep as they are and suggestions on where you can save space. Especially if you are planning to go makeup shopping whilst you are abroad. Read on to check it out...

What To Keep
Medicines
They are important and might not be able to be easily located abroad. Most airports want you to put them in your clear plastic bag so take them out of their boxes to save space.

Sprays
Hairspray, deodorant, bug spray... It's difficult to find alternatives to these so buy smaller versions if possible and re-use old ones so that if they run out abroad, you can throw them away whilst you're there.

Dental Care
You can't go on holiday without a toothbrush and toothpaste! If you can, take a disposable toothbrush as electric ones are larger and use a small toothpaste or finish up one that you have at home.

Where To Save Space
Shampoo & Conditioner
Pack magazine freebie sachets of shampoo and conditioner as they take up no space at all and you don't have to bring empty bottles back with you.

Shower Gel
Use small disposable shower gel pods such as the Body Wash Caps from Sephora. They each last about two days each and can be disposed of after use.

Perfume
Websites such as Feel Unique sell perfume samples or shops such as Jo Malone gift you small bottles with purchases. These are so great for handbags but also for travel as they don't leak and don't take up much space.

How do you pack your travel miniatures?

  1. Hello
This really is a problem of who is going to travel, save space with all the products that we use in our hygiene or beauty products. Good tips!

  6. That's always a problem for me because I always want to keep regular size products haha. When I have no choice, I take travel size perfumes and skin care products.

  17. I love these little miniatures! So handy for travel- I like to hoard 'em in an oversized container and then when it's time to travel, I pull 'em out and pack!

  19. Miniatures are such a good idea for saving space in your washbag when travelling; I've actually just swapped over all of my old miniatures for new ones and it feels like a fresh start haha :) Hope you're having a fabulous week so far darling!

  20. Everything I buy is now travel size because I travel so much lol I get made fun of because I don't really have full-sized makeup brushes lol. I like the idea of taking samples because they are much smaller than travel sized products!
