Favourites | March

Despite the snow and freezing cold weather in England, it seems that the last month has flown past and I'm really hoping that now it's April, we'll actually start seeing some signs of spring and I can put away my winter coats for good.
Today I wanted to share with you some of the things that I've been loving the past month and explain why. Read on to check out what they are...

Food - Galvin at Windows
I visited Galvin at Windows a few weeks ago for an incredible Michelin starred meal and the trifle at the end was definitely a food highlight for me. I've thought about re-creating it since but I know that I won't be able to do it justice!

Book - Vanity Fair
I wrote a blog post not too long ago about classic novels vs modern fiction and I wanted to stick to my resolution afterwards. It has been a very busy month but I have found a little bit of time to flick through some of my favourites including Vanity Fair. If anybody has any other classic recommendations, I'd love to hear them!

Beauty - Siberian Snow Soap
I got this handmade snow soap a couple of months ago but didn't start using it straight away. The first thing that I noticed when I opened the packaging was the amazing smell but it also contains usnic acid which apparently activates cell regeneration, slows down ageing, improves skin texture and restores elasticity.

Fashion - Tartan Scarves
I'm not really one for lots of patterns and bold prints but one way I do like to inject a bit of colour into my outfits are through scarves. For me, tartan is a good way of grouping colours together and styling an outfit from them instead of adding to it afterwards.

What were your March favourites?

  5. I like reading too and if you're interested in some classic books, you could opt for pride and prejudice, Jane Eyre or War and peace, they are such amazing titles!
That Michelin starred menu should be delicious!

  11. I've been meaning to read Vanity Fair for years! I always struggle to balance modern fiction and classics. I recently read Daphne DeMaurier's Rebecca and kicked myself for not having read it sooner - I loved it and would definitely recommend if you haven't read it already!
