I've been enjoying the start of autumn for the past few weeks and September was a really great month for it. It hasn't got too cold yet so I haven't had to wear any of my thick coats or long boots but I'm aware that the time for those might not be too far away! During the past month I traveled on a last farewell to the summer trip to Menorca and I also started to prepare my autumn wardrobe. I'm looking forward to some exciting things in October but for now, I'd like to share some of my favourite things from September...
Makeup - Clinique Lipstick
After writing my Autumn Lip Colours post earlier in the month, I decided to have a clear out of my lipstick drawer (yes, drawer, I have a problem!) and I found this really beautiful shade by Clinique. It isn't particularly autumnal but it works as a great base as well as a stand alone lip colour and makes anything you apply over it last for ages . A must have in my makeup bag at the moment.
Book - The Death Of Lucy Kyte
I've had this book since the beginning of the year but I didn't feel drawn to it or feel that I had to read it immediately. However, I picked it up last week and I've really been enjoying reading it and glad that I gave it a chance. It's got an Agatha Christie feel and I can't wait to find out what happens at the end!

TV Series - Outlander
Laura, who used to write for Rose's Rooftop, has been raving about the Outlander series for a while and lent me the DVD of series 1 at the beginning of the month. The episodes have been really enjoyable to watch, though extremely stressful at times! If you haven't seen it, Outlander is about a nurse in the 1940's who gets transported back to Scotland in the 1740's. The time travel aspect really makes it stand out from other historical dramas and I'm really looking forward to finding out what happens next.
Food - Sugar Free Cinnamon Rolls
As I mentioned in my weekend baking post, I'm trying to eat no refined sugar at the moment so I've been experimenting and trying to update my favourite treats into healthier versions. I made these sugar free cinnamon rolls and they turned out really well so look out for them in a future post!
What were you loving in September?

DeleteYou know, I believe I've tried nearly every other Clinique product, but I've never tried their lipsticks before! I've tried their chubby sticks though and loved how moisturizing they felt, from what I remember. I'll have to keep them in mind the next time I'm shopping at the mall. Also, I've heard so much about Outlander, but I've never watched. It sounds so interesting! Thanks for sharing your faves with us, beauty, and I hope you have a great week ahead!

DeleteI've been craving cinnamon rolls for ages, and those look delish!
ReplyDeleteOutlander sounds interesting, it's not too often that a show about time travel takes place in a different decade than the present and then travels back!
