My Favourite Apps & How I Use Them

I definitely spend way too much time on my phone and I'm sure many of you feel the same way! However, as much of a time waster it can be, it makes my life so much easier in so many ways and so today, I wanted to share some of my favourite apps and how I use them in my day-to-day life. Read on to check out what they are...

Relax Melodies
I spoke about this app earlier in the year in a monthly favourites post. I don't really like going to sleep in complete silence and sometimes, if I put a podcast on, I can get too into it and not be able to switch off! Relax melodies is perfect for me as it's just continuous sounds and no voices. You can choose just one, for example, I really like the campfire sounds, or you can mix various ones together like waves and rain. There aren't any adverts to interrupt the noises and you can set it to turn off after a specified amount of time.

VSCO Cam
When I started blogging, I searched for a long time for the perfect photo editor. I still don't think that there is one that totally suits all my needs but VSCO Cam is by far my favourite! It's not the easiest layout but once you find your rhythm and how you want your pictures to look, the process runs quite quickly and I'm able to edit my photos without any issues.

Spotify
I use Spotify every day without fail and honestly can't remember how I managed without it! I use it to listen to music when I'm driving, on the train and at home. I really like how you can download playlists for when you don't have any WI-FI or when you're on planes and travelling and I also spend a lot of time making the perfect playlist for every season. Spotify also has a lot of their own categories for genres and artists, tailor made playlists for you so you don't miss when your favourite artists release new music.

Canon Camera Connect

The Canon Camera Connect app is incredibly useful and saves me loads of time. I can link up my camera to my phone and transfer the images across in less than a minute and have them stored on my phone or iPad to edit or just as back up in case of emergencies. Apart from a slight issue earlier this year, which Canon resolved, I've never had any problems with using it and do so at least three times a week.

Nike Run Club
When I go for a run, I always use the Nike Run Club app as it has everything I need in once place. To be honest it probably has more than I need as I'm by no means a serious runner but all I really want to know is how far I've gone, how much time it took me and it to have the ability to listen to my music at the same time! The app also records the weather, terrain, your average pace and you even have the ability to put in which running shoes you were wearing. It like the fact that it colour codes your route so you can see where you slowed down or where you ran faster - though in my case it's usually the former more than the latter!

Which app makes your life easier?

  1. I'm not really into apps and only use a few. So I do not have one that is a necessity in my life but I'm old school.
