Autumn Reading

One of my favourite things to do when it's cold outside is stay in with a good book and a mug of hot chocolate. Today I wanted to share some books which I think are perfect for autumn reading, so scroll down to check out what they are...

The Classic - Cider With Rosie
This book is perfect for reading on a sleepy Sunday afternoon when it's too cold to go outside. It's a memoir of the author, Laurie Lee's childhood in a Cotswold village and starts in about 1917 where the village has no electricity or cars. I first read this about ten years ago and will definitely try to re-read it this autumn.

The Biography - The Mitfords
If you don't know anything about the Mitford sisters then I would recommend you getting this book! This biography is a collection of letters between them which tells the story of their lives, with footnotes from Charlotte Mosley, Diana Mitford's daughter-in-law. It spans through the second word war, covers the many scandals they were embroiled in and above all, is just a really brilliant read.

Lifestyle- The Little Book Of Hygge
I've had this book since last year and it's great to pick up and read every so often. It's full of wonderful hygge ideas and just makes me feel cosy and warm. I'm definitely trying out some of the recipes and tips this autumn.

Gripping Fiction - Missing, Presumed
Sometimes, on a grey and cold day outside, we just want to be inside reading a really good book. I won't give too much away about this one but if I could have, I would have read it all in one sitting. It's not one to start just before going to bed but if you have a free afternoon, I would completely recommend it!

What have you been reading this autumn?
