Hi everyone! Today I wanted to share with you my DIY facial routine, going to the salon or spa to get one done regularly is pretty expensive and most of us have all the tools needed at home. I try to do this every two weeks though I'm definitely guilty of neglecting my skin! I prefer using my own products as I know that they work well with my skin and will give me the results I want...
1) Cleanse
My favourite cleanser to use whilst doing a facial is the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish, the eucalyptus makes my skin feel really fresh and clean and this product is one of the best at removing makeup. I work it into dry skin and then wash off with a hot cloth.
2) Exfoliate
I don't actually like exfoliating my face as my skin is really sensitive and I haven't found anything yet which doesn't cause me to break out (suggestions please!) so instead I just use a pumice stone to get rid of the dead skin which is much gentler for me.
3) Steam
I steam my face over a basin full of hot water for about 15 minutes. I also like to drop a green tea bag into the water as it makes the steam feel so much fresher (and apparently Miranda Kerr does it so that's reason enough for me!)
4) Mask
After I've steamed my face, I apply my GlamGlow face mask for 20 minutes, during this time I usually jump in the shower or bath and wash my hair.
5) Tone
I wash my mask off, which is usually a super attractive bright green colour, with a lukewarm flannel and apply a cotton wool ball soaked in toner to my skin, I then pat my skin dry with a towel.
6) Moisturise
Lastly, I apply my moisturiser. This one by Elemis is my current favourite but I usually favour ones which are a bit lighter as I've already put quite a lot of products on my skin.
Thanks so much for reading :)
